Wickid Typeface

Wickid is a bold and whimsical typeface adopting the traditional German-gothic style of blackletter. Wickid has strong and sturdy strokes detailed with rounded, delicate serifs. Medieval/fantasy realms are the main inspiration for the ornamental elements each letter wears.

Development

The direction for this typeface included a traditional blackletter style that incorporates a fantastical storybook feeling; to remain edgy and bold while using delicate details to balance the weight gothic font holds.
